my mission

Fighting for Her Story is driven by a passion to advocate for gender equality and empower women worldwide by educating the next generation of young women about the history of their current rights and encouraging them to stand up for the ones that they have yet to achieve.

After noticing a general lack of knowledge in young girls when it came to the specific history of the struggle against sex-based prejuidce (the suffrage movement, equal pay, etc.), I decided to take action and help to educate girls about the women who came before them.

projects

My projects focus on promoting women's rights, educating young girls, and eliminating gender-based discrimination. We work towards creating a safe and inclusive environment where women can share their stories and learn about the history of the rights they might take for granted today.

education

The education section of this website focused on teaching about women's rights, the history of which have been divided into five distinct categories: women's suffrage, second-wave feminism, the equal pay movement, the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), and current events.

curriculum

I took the education resources and formatted them into a slideshow presentation, which can be used both to conduct workshops, and also supplemental material to teach as part of, for example, a middle school history class.
